Set

320 Lincoln Road Miami Beach, FL 33139

Maybe it's the 8-foot elephant tusks curving suggestively skyward that set the tone at the Opium Group's new club on Lincoln Road. Then again, it could be the lingerie-clad (barely) dancers encased in plexi-glass cylinders, or the svelte young ladies grooving atop macassar ebony tables that let you know you've entered a different sort nightlife venue. Either way, you quickly get the message that no expense was spared to produce a club where über-VIPs languish in luxury surrounded by those sleek physiques South Beach is famous for.

A dance club?...um...not really. More like the best that South Beach nightlife has to offer rolled-up into one excellent club.

Mansion

1235 Washington Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139

Miami Beach nightlife visionary Eric Milon, who previously established the Living Room as a glamorous tropical waypoint for east-coast A-listers and European jet-setters in the early '90s, now present us with Mansion, a club that has become the prime destination for Hollywood celebs and the hippest crowd in South Florida.

Set in the massive 1235 Washington Avenue space that was originally built as the French Casino in 1936, and has housed such legendary nightclubs as Glam Slam, Club Z and Paragon, Mansion projects a sensual and intimate vibe throughout its multi-level area. With six bars on two levels and a main-room stage to host fashion shows and live performances, we predict Mansion will rewrite South Beach nightlife history for years to come.

Louis

1235 Washington Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139

There's a new French nightclub in town and you're probably not going to be able to get in. At least that's the vibe the folks at the Gansevoort are hoping you get once you duck behind the massive 50 foot shark's tank as soon as you walk in. Inspired by 18th century European opulence, the club has a chic and decadent aura with a few modern twists. There's scrawling graffiti art, French electro-punk décor and the gorgeous waitstaff wears military influenced uniforms.

While the Wilhelmina models are waiting for the elevators to whisk them up to the rooftop Plunge Bar, savvy guests have to find the escalator that leads to the posh new David Barton Gym. The Louis entrance is behind the escalator and its double doors open to reveal a curved red velvet wall tufted with chrome skulls.

Louis is the latest option in the hot new club zone on 23rd Street. From SET to Mokai, from AeroBar to Plunge, the hot bodies and pretty faces have migrated to the northern edge of South Beach.

Plunge Bar & Lounge at Gansevoort South

2377 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach

Looking around for the newest hotspot on the beach won’t do you much good.

Unless you’re looking up. Way up.

As in, go up Collins to the edge of 23rd Street (yes, there’s nightlife beyond 23rd) to the new-ish Gansevoort South . Step inside and we promise that the 50-foot shark tank in the lobby is nothing compared to what lies 18 stories above… Plunge Bar & Lounge. This is where the party reaches new heights, on a 26,000 square-foot roof covered in Brazilian Ipe wood and lined with towering palm trees that stretch over the 110-foot pool.

plunge.jpgThough the roof is open to guests and non-guests, only those staying at the Gansevoort can get wet in the pool. Either way, the real liquid pleasure lies in the cocktails. Try a Monte Sierpe Strawberry Pisco Mojito poolside in a cabana lit by chandelier, or a Pineapple & Prosecco Bellini on the oversized white cushion couches. All are perched by the edge with bottle service and a 360 degree view of the city. To the east, the ocean, to the west, the Miami skyline. Just don’t look down.

After all, life is good at the top.

Bed

929 Washington Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139

Jumping in bed with girls is easy, as long as you have a reservation at BED in South Beach, of course. The two (or more) of you can hop in the sack for a little dinner then party until dawn at a restaurant that replaces tables with plush, king-sized beds and mood music that heats-up as the night rolls on. An acronym for beverage, entertainment and dining, B.E.D. takes sensual surroundings to a whole new level.

Open since 1999, this restaurant/lounge offers divine dining, an enchanting interior and edgy entertainment. Feast your eyes on the Erotica Dinner Theatre, where fetish cabaret performances add a little spice to the aphrodisiac cuisine. And don't forget to make your way to the Wednesday-night party, where nightlife king Michael Capponi keeps the crowd up till 5 a.m. with deep house. Sweet dreams!

Florida Room @ Delano

1685 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139

In a hallowed South Beach location once occupied by the former '80s club, Beirut, Lenny Kravitz has created the latest see-and-be-seen haunt with his Florida Room in the ground floor of the Delano Hotel.

Previously the David Barton Gym, the Florida Room is patterned after the 1950s-style piano lounges of Florida and Havana, and is filled most nights with the

roving South Beach party elite who have recently anointed this space as the next haute location in Miami Beach.

http://www.southbeach-usa.com/clubs/club-directory/images/f-room.jpgThe lounge features live musical performances in the early evening and a DJ-driven scene later on when things begin to heat up.

Be warned, it's not easiest lounge in South Beach to get in. Please call a WeOwnSouthBeach associate for assistance.

Mokai

235 23rd Street, Miami FL

Miami nightlife was transformed with the opening of Mokai, one of the most (if not the most) exclusive nightclub and lounge.

At just 4,000 square feet and with capacity capped at 220 club-happy patrons, the lounge is an intimate departure from the same camp that brought you Mynt.

http://images.clubzone.com/images/upload/mok3.jpgDJs spin the latest house and hip-hop tracks as the

lucky 220 inside can kick their feet up on wooden ottomans, lay back against brick walls, and admire the "Lord of the Rings" vibe (Mokai is the New Zealand canyon where the trilogy was filmed).

TANTRA

1445 Pennsylvania Miami Beach, FL 33139

In sensual, sexy South Beach, no place is sexier than Tantra, a stylish restaurant-lounge based on the ancient Tantric principles of self-awareness and spiritual realization through invocation ofthe senses. At Tantra, a true South Beach landmark, the senses are stimulated in every way imaginable, from the superb food to the stunning décor to the pulsating music and erotic art. The restaurant's soothing, romanticambience has been lovingly created from the elements of

earth (a grass floor in the VIP lounge), fire

tantra.jpg(candles), sky (a fiber optic-lit ceiling featuring a shooting star) and water (a dramatic water wall in the entrance foyer).  Other nice flourishes include the movie 'Kama Sutra' screening in the main dining room, giant Hookah pipes for after-dinner enjoyment of fine Middle Eastern tobacco, and a spacious, comfortable hammock that hangs from the ceiling of a private dining room.

But, all those soothing elements depart around 11 p.m. when the line forms at the front door and Tantra becomes one of the hottest places to be in South Beach. Monday nights at Tantra are legendary

Nobu @ Shore Club

1901 Collins Avenue Miami Beach, FL 33139

It's no longer necessary to leave the sandy shores of Miami Beach to dine in one of New York's most celebrated restaurants. Nobu at the Shore Club (owned by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Richie Notar) has quickly risen to the top of places to be seen on the Beach since its opening in 2001. But, it's the lounge section of Nobu we're talking about here. Situated between Nobu and Ago Restaurants, Nobu Lounge is a place for civilized socializing, even though it can become quite crowded at times.

http://www.southbeach-usa.com/clubs/club-directory/images/nobu1-180.jpgIan Schrager's influence over the Shore Club becomes readily apparent around 10pm when the velvet ropes go up and entry into Nobu becomes much more interesting. But, if you are seeking the best perch for a little celebrity spotting, Nobu Lounge at the Shore Club is the place to be.

Heathrow

681 Washington Ave Miami Beach, FL 33109

In Short – If Austin Powers teleported to South Beach, this is where he'd be. It's an anglophile's delight, exploring the different themed rooms loaded with all things Britannia at this dual-level nightclub. From Victorian artwork to milky mod furnishings to a shagadelic spy room, even the electronica music pumping downstairs thumps with an English accent.

Wall Lounge at the W

2201 Collins Ave

A collab between The Opium Group (Opium, Prive, Mansion, SET) and the guys who helped create Mynt before moving on to Mokai and Quattro, the Wall, cloistered in the back of South Beach's new W Hotel, distills both teams' acumen into a boutique-sized club that makes no bones about the fact that it's small enough to already be VIP, and therefore doesn't need a VIP room -- the same logic Mini-Me uses to keep from jumping into a river with rocks in his pockets.

wall@w.jpgThe space divides into a small front bar done up with black lacquered walls with Tron-like beams of light running through 'em, and a main room, which feels like you're inside a disco ball, thanks to walls that're a harlequin patterns of mirrors and brown lacquered wood; there's also an X-shaped quad of bronze banquettes in the middle, surrounded by a perimeter of black lounge banquettes, each with stools of gold-flecked pony hide, because they were sold out of "normal cloth". Music'll be piped through a Funktion-One sound system (a fave of Timo Maas and the Chemical Bros) and spun by DJ Ross One, among others, and'll be open-format, with a nod toward house as the night goes late; there's no designated dance floor, just wide avenues between banquettes, which may prohibit your Worm, but'll totally have the cocktail waitress brushing up against it at some point if you stand there long enough.

wall2@w.jpgWall's left the mixology-style drinks to the W's Living Room lobby bar, and has opted for a morestraightforward booze selection featuring bottle service on staples, plus stuff like Gran Patron Platinum, Johnnie Blue, and a brigade of champagnes like Louis Roederer and Perrier-Jouet Rose in a Jeroboam.
